PostgREST - Create APIs from PostgreSQL Directly
Krishna lodha Abstract:
PostgREST is a powerful open-source tool that allows developers to automatically
generate a RESTful API from a PostgreSQL database.
In this talk, we will explore the capabilities of PostgREST and how it can be used
to quickly and easily create APIs directly from PostgreSQL. We will start by
introducing the basics of RESTful APIs and how they work. We will then dive into
the installation and configuration of PostgREST, and explore its capabilities for
automatically generating API endpoints based on database tables and views.
We will also cover various aspects of API design, including authentication, authorization,
and documentation.
Attendees will leave with a solid understanding of how to use PostgREST
to create powerful and secure APIs from PostgreSQL,
and how it can be leveraged to streamline the development of modern web applications.
